Changes one prospect's copy for one step, without re-importing. Send only the fields you are changing: a field left out keeps the copy already stored. The email is rebuilt from the new copy straight away, and the response carries the rebuilt email, so there is no need to call Rebuild Step Emails.
Write the copy as subjectText and bodyText, the same shorthand Import Contacts takes. A token naming no known field is rejected. On a PER_CONTACT step the result must still be able to send: a body, plus a subject on the first email. A follow-up with no subject is sent as a reply in the first email's thread.
An email that has already been sent, or is sending, cannot be changed, and the call is rejected with a 400.
Re-importing the prospect with emails also updates its copy, and is the better route for many prospects at once.
